*Use anywhere.. ideal for emergencies whenever you're out hiking with a mate in the wilderness where there's no Cell/mobile phone reception.
*Safe and secure from prying/spying eyes because it doesn't transmit your messages via an internet router like most other apps do. And it automatically forgets all received messages when the app is swiped off the screen.
*Uses your phone's built-in wifi hardware to communicate directly with your friend's phone.
*Maximum communication distance between devices is approx 80m line-of-sight depending on hardware.
We specialize in electronic automation systems and Bluetooth radio communication apps. This is our first WiFi Direct project so we've decided to offer it as a free service. We'll appreciate your feedback.
HEX TXT :: USER OPERATION GUIDE / REFERENCE:
After downloading this app onto 2x android devices, open both and do the following..
1) If the color of the WiFi icon (top-left) is red, then tap on it once to switch WiFi ON.
2) Then tap the Search icon (top-right) to find other devices and to indicate that you are available. NB: therefore both android devices must be in search/discover mode within the same time period.
3) Once a companion device has been found, it will appear in a pop-up dialog list.
4) Tap the companion device name to automatically send it an invitation to connect.
5) Tap "connect" in the sender's invitation displayed in the companion device, and confirm the sender device name shown in that list as well.
6) To send messages.. tap the highlighted box area displayed on either device to access a pop-up keyboard.
NOTES:
After each send, an "OK" indicator will appear at the top of the Send button as confirmation if the last message was delivered successfully.
Txt message areas containing multiple lines are scrollable.
Tapping the 'Back' button of your device will put this app in the background, so to end your current WiFi Direct connection you'll need to either swipe this app off the screen (in recent apps window) or switch WiFi OFF.
